We have carried out multiple development projects for our clients in this sector from SIL rated safety applications through to the automation of the Coke Car operations via the novel use of wireless technology and Laser Measurement devices. The latter project was the subject of a presentation and publication in the Coke Oven Managers’ Association Annual Year Book of 2013 (“Automatic Coke Car Movement at Monckton Coke and Chemical” by Dean Wright and Gareth Vicary).

Over the years we have worked closely with the team at Monckton on a number of high profile, high impact improvement projects including:
The design, installation and commissioning of the wireless networks and control systems required to automate the movement of the Coke Car using Laser Measurement devices for fine positioning.
Replace and upgrade the site CHP (Combined Heat and Power) Burner Safety Management Systems (utilising Siemens Safety PLCs). SIL 2 rated application.
Replace and upgrade Master Header and Boiler Control System – upgrade from obsolete system hardware to Safety PLC.
Design and install a new control system for Reverse Osmosis skid – for production of demineralised water.
Design and install new control systems for Crusher House operations.
Integration of third party plant to site SCADA for effective control, monitoring and reporting.
